Meet Our Team
SISEL GELMAN - Founder
Sisel Gelman was raised in Mexico City and moved to Alaska to write her first novel. Her work has been published over 50 times in magazines like ANGLES Magazine, The Emerson Review, and F News Magazine. Sisel attended the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference during the summer of 2019, she was a finalist for the 2021 Boston Public Library's Writer-In-Residence program, and she was a finalist in the upcoming reality TV show 'America's Next Great Author.' Her writing has been nominated for two EVVY Awards, won first place at the ICPA, and #siselgelman has over 3.2 million views on TikTok. She holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, and is pursuing her MFA in Fiction at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MA at the Bread Loaf School of English.
Adrienne Strand is a creative artist and writer from Stockholm, Sweden. She has a background in fashion, content creation, and media management. Adrienne’s expertise was highlighted while working as an editor with Vulkan Magazine. When she is not building community at SIEVA, she can be found working on her first novel, making music, cooking a lovely meal, or playing with her puppies Frank and Jasper. She is currently living in Los Angeles.

CHARLIE TRIOZZI - Head of Design
Hi! My name is Charlie Triozzi. I am currently a senior at Emerson College pursuing a Writing, Literature, and Publishing degree. Some of my favorite pastimes are reading, knitting, graphic design, and hanging out with friends!
IZZY ASTUTO - Head of Copy Editing
Izzy Astuto (he/they) is a writer currently majoring in Creative Writing at Emerson College. His work has previously been published by Hearth and Coffin and Renesme Literary, amongst others. BRANDO SMITH - Content Project Manager
Hailing from St. Petersburg, FL, Brando Smith is a writer of dark whimsies and a reader of everything. You can find his work published in Ghostwatch Paranormal Zine and Persephone Literary Magazine. With a B.A. in Media Arts Production from Emerson College, he holds a background in film production, theater, event coordination, and marketing. When he’s not strategizing SIEVA’s social media or working as an assistant to a sales executive, Brando is currently glued to his keyboard writing his first novel.
LILY LABELLA - Design
Lily Labella is a Writing, Literature, and Publishing student at Emerson College, originally from Port Washington, NY. In addition to writing poetry and short stories, she loves little dogs and fun hats.
CHEYENNE KMINEK - Design
Cheyenne Kminek is a sophomore creative writing major at Emerson College with a double minor in Hearing & Deafness and Publishing. When she is not working on SIEVA, she can be found writing poetry, reading romance novels, or cuddling with her cat, Hercules.
LAURA HOFFHEIMER - Copy Editor
Laura is a writer and filmmaker from southern New Hampshire living in NYC. She enjoys watching movies with her friends in her free time, reading, drawing, and hiking.
DS OSWALD - Design
DS Oswald (they/them) is a designer, illustrator and alumnus of Emerson's Creative Writing program. They have been an obsessive creator since the age of twelve, and they don't plan on stopping anytime soon. They are the co-editor-in-chief and designer for READER BEWARE Magazine, and their work has been featured in Archive of the Odd, Bleach! Issue 1, and Eidolotry Magazine.
ISABELLA CHIU - Design
Isabella Chiu is a student at Emerson College, majoring in Writing, Literature, and Publishing, from San Jose, California. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing video games, and crafting.
